i missed seeing this lovely path as i was having a swim! julian has promised me we can go back tomorrow, especially as there is a little seafood restaurant nearby!
On the verge of abstraction. Wonderful angle shot, shimmering path, symphony of colours. The dark bole of the tree like an "y axis" without its "x axis" giving the unbalance. And this bit of sparkling white rock just in the middle of the painting, like a mythological profile, gaping, with a sharp beard, forever petrified ...
l love this! look at that gorgeous sea...i bet your swim was wonderful ruth! looks like a fabulous painting from both near and far.
The dappled ight is lovely and the path mysterious and seductive. The artist is visible in the brushstrokes that create the light on the path and the boldly coloured shapes of the trees, rocks and sea. It is an image that delights all the senses.
"ight" should be light.......I did edit it but missed this.
after the wonderful collection of lavender paintings, it is refreshing and cooling to have one of the sea. hot and humid here in florida and even the gulf water is 90 degrees. (i'm not sure what the mass? is in the upper left hand corner. )
Wonderfully vertiginous!
Julian, this one is simply stunning! The color, composition and brushwork are beautiful! www.doncokerart.com/blog
This is stunning: I can feel the rough, hot stones, hear the cicadas (do they have them in France?) and smell the ocean. Truly and beautifully evocative. Again. Marcia
This one is a beauty - wonderful colors, compostion and that special fresh feel of spontaneity!
