This is so inviting....ahhhhhh. Just lovely. ;-)
Great Painting!!! http://delponteart.blogspot.com
Gorgeous! I can feel and even smell this scene. Did a painting trip to Provence in May 07 and your landscapes always give me flashbacks of the beauty that photos failed to capture.
Everything ( lines, colours, even in the sky...) seems to move towards the big dark tree, being for me the equivalent to a black hole( black whole?) trying to capture the planets and stars all around. I think a book about your fascination, Julian, for that black colour almost everywhere in your works would be so...captivating!
Great directional lines create magnificent depth!
But Alain, we wouldn't want Julian to be made captive (be captured by) a black "whole"! Where would we have his fantabulous colors? The greens and blues and whites in this painting are extraordinary...n'est-ce pas?
Evidemment, jol. C'était une façon de parler. Kindest regards.
Je le savais, Alain. Am always happy to read your poetic language, since I've taught literature all my life. And "having a way with words" is always satisfying, as you well know, Julian and Ruth!
missing you julian. i hadnt realized how much i look forward to your paintings each day until they are not there to surprise me with their beauty.
I agree with Grace. Am in withdrawal too.
withdrawal enough, alain, that it has made me clean my studio and get my paints out again...oils or pastels? havent got that far yet!?
HELLO, ANOTHER BEAUTY !!! LATELY I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY NEW PAINTINGS. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS. KINDEST REGARDS, CAROL
