If I could do one painting this good in a month, I'd be happy. Sheesh!
I love seeing the work of fellow fruit painters. Especially when they are at their best. Beautiful work.
Your work gets more stunning day by day. I love the simplicity of the composition and yet it's so dramatic. I love seeing the brushstrokes too. As well as a beautiful painter you are a great photographer. Every day is Christmas when your painting shows up in my email box. Many thanks.
A reading from up to down. A painting shared in two even parts. A really interesting attempt to create a balance through the imbalance: translucent thin layers of colour in the foreground and thick layers of colour in the half upper extremity for the fruits ( like Morandi often did it). Transparencies against opacities . But limpidness all over. Bravo Julian !
Well done. I love how the fruit is just tucked into the upper edge of the canvas. Much like a shadow box display. Good use of varying applications of paint...thick to thin.
