How can I explain...It's just like if the black and blue background gave birth to the black and blue aubergine! Cosmic. And the stalk like the open mouth of a cruel green snake symbolizing the womb. And Finally, this white light which enables and identifies the borning vegetable. Well, this is not a still life but a " still birth", a new kind of painting.
I did this morning an enlargement of the green stalk on my personal computer : the work of the painter is riveting ; countless tint , dexterity of the brushstrokes, sharpness of the watching, elegance of the shape, frieze looking, and this sharp white reflection making a virtual horizontal with the big white light on the top of the eggplant...finally , like a star( or a planet?) twinkling in the abyssal nocturnal sky, this very tiny clear orangery dot ending the stalk on the left end of it. Extreme stylihness.
The painting is great, but the comments are awful.
You are right, Madam. Thanks for wise remark.
