It's amazing how the blue (or blues of various hues, even in the darker areas) stands out in this painting, contrasting with as well as enhancing the bluish shadows so beautifully! That was a complicated sentence, but so is this painting.

"Amex excepted" - do you mean you don't take Amex or do you mean you do take Amex in which case it should be "Amex accepted"?

Julian - love the work, very inspirational. I'm a great fan of figuration and have a special fondness for still life (as you can see from my website). Your paint handling: use of colour, tone, markmaking and compositions give life to these intimate works!
