I love the shadows in this painting, and the sharp details of the leaves in the foreground to the right side. It has a really good depth of field and I can imagine myself walking down that road.
i'm with you susan. the shady spot looks like a nice reprieve from the heat as well.
It's the little things that make this terrific. Don't ask me why, but the little patch of sunshine on the large tree trunk warms my heart.
I can never decide whether I like your still lifes or your landscapes best. I was so enjoying your last few, which were still life and I though I had it figured out and then I see this beauty! I guess I love them both LOL
This is beautiful as are all your works. But this one in particular is most striking. I like how the sky vibrates and the dramatic color of green dominates the piece.
