Love the voice of your brush strokes, the fluidity and depth. Also love the timelessness of your still lifes.
so nice and peaceful
The nuances in your darks are wonderful. Where Jens sees peacefulness, I see mystery and perhaps melancholy. It just proves every painting has a different voice for every viewer.
The larger Lightbox images are a wonderful addition. They bring out the brushwork and tactile paint surface that can be such an important part of the visual appeal of these small, beautifully painted works. This is particularly a plus, I think, in presenting paintings like this one, that in the lower resolution images may appear more "minimal" than they actually are.
Julian, one of the most breath-taking pictures you've ever done. Absolutely. Took. My. Breath. Away. Amazing!
Ohh - I can feel the evening settling down, and smell the earth as the light fades. This is superbe - really strikes a cord. Bravo.
I love this time of day - twilight. It is beautiful, Julian.
To borrow from Bonnie Raitt, it is the Dimming of the Day. Peaceful, and exquisite.
I agree with all the comments Julian. In a word I would simply say,"awesome"! Bernie
