Behind the outward appearances, the peaceful coexistence of two social classes. Political thrust of Art, like in Van Gogh's paintings for instance. A noble message of Julian within a marvellous impressionist painting, suggesting cheerfulness and calmness; far from the deafning noises of our cities, full of tragic tensions.
And of course I don't forget these touching irises, little blue fireflies beaming with happiness among the dense grass...
so many people look forward to your daily paintings..they give us that small moment of stepping away from where we are and think of being somewhere else...your paintings are so beautiful..simple and not complicated.. thank you so much...and we all hope you continue to do this for a long time!!!
Hi Paul, this was a very limited palette of two blues, two yellows, red and white; Ultramarine Blue, Ceruleum Blue, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow, Pyrrole Vermilion and Titanium White. I also used a purple specifically for the irises; it would have been difficult to mix the flowers from those colors!
