this is a beautiful series Julian, with wonderful end results. I am curious, do you use any mediums to thin down your paints (in background for example) ? Thanks for the great work ~
Thanks Josh, mostly this is just paint thinned with turpentine over a prepared ground of raw sienna. I do use a medium of 20% linseed oil (sun bleached/thickened) with 80% turps but very sparingly; generally to make dark colors flow.
Beautiful cherries. So much cherry there, suggested so cleverly and with such economy of means! Lovely.
