Very cool. Makes me feel giddy.
julian, you are finding your truly zen moments when painting these gems--something about the color and composition of this one, the looseness and the tightness of the forms. very yin/yang.
Julian, this is a really great painting. I love how you have interpreted the rocks. It reminds me of areas in Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas, where I have hiked countless times. It makes me homesick for the desert. I also love the "zen" clouds. Simply wonderful!
gimme la forza del destino and it will all be perfect.
Truly a painter's painting! Feel that texture.
This painting is absolutely wonderful!
Julian, Becoming too abstract, does not look real. Although colors are great.
"does not look real"... huh? Ray, on the contrary, this painting captures the 'spirit' of the place masterfully. Julian is a painter, not a photographer. James
Outstanding!
hello ray. funny you say it doesn't look real. I was there and that was exactly how it looked, and above all felt.
Ray, If you want real, go take a photo. A good painting is taking "real" and making it more beautiful as Julian has done here. I feel I have been there before. Bravo. Great feeling. Wish I had won this one.

Hey Ray, dude, I don't know what you've been smoking, man, but it's really messing with your mind, and your vision. Better lay off the stuff...
It is wonderful above Gigondas -- painting rocks & 'sous-bois' of these types of wild places IS a very difficult thing to do. Bravo Julian, nice to see you taking on challenges, Bonne chance.
