First, my gosh, be careful with your precious hands! I’ve been nurturing a sprained wrist since November when I went out to beat off heavy wet snow with a broom to save trees from damage. Were the trees worth my injury? Well, that’s arguable, at least it was not my painting hand. And I saved trees from splitting.
Secondly, because I bake Artisan bread, your paintings of loaves give me so much pleasure. I can smell the yeasty bread and I can taste them, I can feel the crunch of the crust and the chewiness of the crumb.
Wine and cheese, it’s a meal.
Well done!
These are some of my favorite paintings.
Thank you!

Oh no. I’m so sorry to hear that you had an accident, and that your brush hand was injured. I hope it will heal quickly, Julian.

I like this artist’s paintings, so I often visit this site. But it wasn’t until today that I saw the comments and found out he got injured. I was worried about what happened, but anyway, I hope he recovers soon.

Painter’s notes

Cut my hands rather badly a few days ago trying to catch falling glass - never a good idea. Mending now, I can hold a brush again.
