Yesterday I saw the excellent Morandi-Albers show at Zwirner Gallery in New York City. Your glass of beer is too colorful for Morandi... however, the balance of form and lively grays remind me of this Italian master's intimate oil paintings.

Julian,
Your frustration equals our treat....another lovely color study. I love your pale mauves and grays. To me, they shouldn't work with that orange of the beer in the glass and shadow--but they do. So nice and calming too.
