“I found this background in the fields while out walking, I guess it had been a part of a sign though there is no writing on it. I love the colour and the distressed peeling paint surface.”

This painting made me smile. It's like an old happy couple out for a stroll on a beautiful day. And yes, I know you painted a blue-peeling paint sign behind a corked bottle and a rosy round-bottomed pear but good art can conjure many things... some things that even make a person smile.

It's a stunning painting contrasts and fabulous colours.The colour of the ripe pear and the beautiful dark colour of the glass bottle in contrast,enhancing the whole composition. This is good art and understanding of the beauty of colour. Julian ,congratulations, love it.
