“Our local quince trees (in the neighbour's garden, just past the fig tree), seem to have no quinces. Whether they bore quinces and they were picked, or the dry weather meant they never grew I'm not sure. A trip to Carpentras market on Friday solved the problem and I found a nice selection complete with leaves!”

Perfection! Beautiful!
Well I just spent the morning cooking quince paste. I do love quince.
I have a picture of one that looks a fat persons behind.
Thanks for your paintings.
Always look forward to receiving your daily ouvre.

Really beautiful. Well worth the trip. Mine always get the 'mouche'- making beady eyes.
Gorgeous, but don't the leaves come from the stem end, not the flower end?
Yes, that is the stem end!
