Julian. I agree. Bread is not the same after it arrives home. Beautiful loaf and a comment which tells us a little more about a mischievous you!
Wow - your bread has always been so skillfully painted but I'm also admiring the foreshortening of the bag itself and even the serated edges of the bag!

I am working on a bread and water still life in my painting class. I have not been able to achieve the right texture yet. I like the color palette used in the white part of your bread, also I like the color used to state the crust.I very much like the loose painterly quality.Excellent!!
