I really like your still life studies. I always love your dark?sometimes nearly black backgrounds that envelope the interesting items you paint but this soft gray with subtle taupe undertone is exquisite too. (Huge fan of all grays in general.) Really appealing subject and treatment.

Dear Julian, a lovely still life. The glass, footless, the crusty country bread and wedge of cheese sets a rustic mood.Classic and simple, yet it has the mark of the master!
