I like the discreet green stem which makes a hyphen between the three expressive portraits of flower. And as is often the case, the enigmatic reflection on the bowl leads to...unanswered reflections.
These last few paintings are all so gorgeous! It's a treat to be getting these again. Congrats on your beautiful work, and best regards to Ruth and Louis. Judy Feins
So beautiful! Thanks, Julian.
Love this beautiful painting!
Is there a a reflection of a face on the bowl? Or is it what I think I see? It is mysterious.
To day I have the impression that I see Julian through the bowl standing and wearing a light charcoal blue shirt in front of the canvas which appears in black. Does he look at the roses or at us, a bit like Velasquez looks at us in his Meninas? On the right, probably his guardian angel who is positively radiating outward.
Dear Julian, been away for a while, then all this beauty in the mail! A lovely treat, yes, Alain, I also saw a reflection of Julian in a blue shirt. The roses are exquisite, dreamy, enchanting!
Beautiful painting and great comments!
