Ventoux... Venteux that is... Windy... The disheveled brushstrokes accross the whole canvas suggest that it is windy... So the tree in the center seems to rotate as a little twister but on the spot! Even the sky and the track seem to be shaken by the wind. But no brushstrokes without motive: the artist here by the profusion of excited brushstrokes is in perfect symbiosis with the legendary mount Ventoux we feel so close.
