What a lively, aerial, singing view! The artist here shows us the Way to Happiness. And at the top, echoing the road, the church with its empathetic eyes on us, the way to holiness! "Road to Sault"......"Road to Soul"?
What a lovely composition you've created Julian. I love the way the shape of the road and balance of the greenery leads the viewers eye to the church @ the top of the hill....thx for sharing your talent!
Julian, I have been watching your work since close to the beginning. It has been a daily joy, often with a twist of technique or your subtle use of color, but most often a lesson in finding appreciation in our own daily lives no matter where we are in the world.
In my humble opinion, on of the best paintings you have ever painted Julian. The composition and your understanding of atmospheric perspective and how it affects colour (intuitive by now), is as crisp as the handling of the paint is loose.
I just love it. Beautiful.
It's perhaps more important for a painter to know what not to put in the painting. You have obviously crossed that bridge and successfully.......... Wonderful shot and well done.
I agree with you. I simply tried to put in feelings what you said just now about the technique of Julian. I translate it by "lively, aerial, singing'. The rest of my comment was the spiritual continuation of the mysterious alchemy created by the unique talent of Julian.
