Gee, I thought you wouldn't beat the Roses but the Iris are soooo lovely. Love the arrangement.
It would be such a treat to see you paint in person. I sure the group is having a great time.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I SOOOOOO wish I was there...
WOWIE GEE!You just get better & better!!! Say "hi" to Louis for Joyce & Ernesto!!! And of course, to Ruth. Wish we could be with you at the start of this wondrous new season.
Dear Julian, capturing the essence of a flower in paint is a difficult subject. In the recent roses, peonies and now an iris, it seems you have more then ever dared to let go and painted more than just the subject matter.... That's why the paintings touch our hearts so deeply. Your innate sense of composition and colour harmonies brings the whole to perfection. Anna.
A personal immediate sensation. This still life symbolises for me the genuine filial love: the spouse (and mum both)on the left, tenderly embracing her proud(and serious)husband, the little daughter on the right nestling against her daddy. Their two reflections into "him" prove that he loves them equally into heart: passionately for his partner who not on purpose shows us a cinnabar green light precious stone on the left forefinger while singing with joy , affectionately for the latter, still half asleep (but yet not for long). So a certain concept of filial happiness.
