Thank you...but good to get back to the ol' routine!
Thank you Julian, we had a quiet but good New Year just the two of us together! No children (adults now)!
Enjoyed the laying of paint in your onions!

Julian, Happy New Year to yourself and family. I hope you all had great
Christmas. Just received your email after writing the above.
The onions are another great painting.
It was a delight to see your painting, a great inspiration to us all.
Happy and Healthy New Year to All
Incredible onions...maybe background too dark?
Good, solid painting. The darkness gives the forms and strokes something to work against. The forms crawl out of the dark. Well played.
Happy New Year Julian.
Wonderful harmony. It seems that you have first put the pastes in big amounts directly on the canvas and then, taken your brush and modelled, kneaded the shapes in full paste, physically. As Van Gogh did it so well. Dulcet sensuous and very tactile painting.
Pleased you are back. May 2014 be a wonderful year for you and your family. Love the onions!
Happy 2014, so happy to have your great stuff back. Love the onions.
Happy New Year Julian, Ruth and Louis and to the viewers. May 2014 bring peace to all. BM
Of all your paintings, your onions and garlic are my favorites - I love the dance of color within something so familiar.
I had no idea onions could be so lovely. Happy New Year to you and your family. May the year bring you much satisfaction and challenge.
Dear Julian, have a fulfilling and creative 2014,as yet a blank page, or should I say canvas.
Rembrandt's kitchen, beautiful onions waiting to be chopped for a Carbonnade a la Flamande!
