“I used to think I was the only person to know of this road which winds through the flat lands between here and Chateauneuf-du-pape. Then they made it part of the route of the 2002 Tour de France (which ended on the summit of the Ventoux)”

Lovely lovely - I can hear how quiet it is
What a lucky man you are. I thank you every day with a smile.
I live in Columbia County, 100 miles north of NYC, in the Hudson River Valley. OLd farms with open land and the mountains in the background, very similar to your landscape. If you ever get to NYC come visit our old farm and this beautiful area. Keith Bendis
The dishevelled dark tree, followed by all the trees of the village, seem to be there to greet us!Its black shadow on the road is like a level crossing;as a welcome signal.
Julian - I'm an artist as well, living in Massachusetts, USA. I work in watercolor and acrylic(sometimes over painted in oil). I can't tell you how much I enjoy viewing your artwork each day. I especially love your short descriptions of what you are painting and the living conditions where you live. I wish you many joyful hours of painting. Frank
