This is lovely, Julian, but good grief! you had a fire! So sorry to hear this--may have missed earlier news- my best wishes to you and your family for a safe and happy new year! Pat
The string looks to be reaching out towards the light like a sun-starved bean sprout. I think this might actually be a self portrait, Julian. :)
Spellbinding "garlic-fish"which desperately dreams about swooping down on the milky depths... Marvellous painting!
The simplicity of the subject and gentle light makes this painting a delight. it must be good to be back in your studio even though you're not organised.
Oh! That inspired blue string! I felt you were enjoying having different walks and different views to paint away from home . . . . that rocky track was wonderful but nothing like your own studio I guess. Happy New Year.
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about ... your painting is alive!
How beautiful--so simple and pure. Bonne annee to you and Ruth and little Louis.
I really like this work so simple yet tells many stories. Happy New Year and hope you recover soon from the fire. We in Australia live with fire dread espeically now as it is summer and very hot. Ruth
Julian, the garlic is simply dancing. I'm happy you are able to commute 'home.'
I Love it!!!!! Wish you could be there.
So glad that you are back in your own studio. I look forward to more of your work.
Your ingenuity and determination has paid off. The blue ribbon is the perfect touch in the choice of color.
Julian, so sorry to hear you had a fire... and I join the ranks of people delighted with the lovely light and the inspired blue string...beautiful painting! Good luck to you in this brand new year
