The string looks to be reaching out towards the light like a sun-starved bean sprout. I think this might actually be a self portrait, Julian. :)

Oh! That inspired blue string! I felt you were enjoying having different walks and different views to paint away from home . . . . that rocky track was wonderful but nothing like your own studio I guess. Happy New Year.

I really like this work so simple yet tells many stories. Happy New Year and hope you recover soon from the fire. We in Australia live with fire dread espeically now as it is summer and very hot. Ruth
