“These cabanons are littered about the vineyards and fields and, pre-mechanisation, would have acted as a base for the vendage, or harvest, and as occasional refuge in extreme weather. They are built of stone and tiled to withstand the extremes of sunshine and wind”

Is it just my opinion or are you painting more from the heart since Louis came into your life? Love your work. Ruth
Wonderful piece Julian, palpable feeling of sunlight. You just get better and better.
I finally decided what is extraordinary about these last two paintings- it is the pinkish-lavenderish skies - the softness - so inviting to relax and enjoy the countryside. So well done!!! Thanks so much, Julian!! Cl-Marie
This painting nourishes my eyes and my imagination. What a humble and luxuriant scene! The quality of the pastes all over the surface is at high level.
So lovely, Julian. I, too, have noticed the joy and life in your recent work; Louis is definitely having an affect on your work. I love the contrast of light and shade.
I am curious about these shelters...how do they look up close?
They range from the basic with one shuttered opening and a door to complete little two storey houses with a fireplace though seldom a hard floor, here is a closer view of one I painted in March... Cabanon à Bedoin

i should rephrase my question. do you still use pay pal? i used it with you last year.
