Even with all the many horizontals, there's a strong sense of movement in this painting. And the movement all leads to that smudge of deep blue right below the setting sun. Very dramatic, very beautiful.

Wow! A beautiful, dramatic sky! Love the clouds! I feel like the wind should begin stirring the trees any minute. BTW, Your book is a feast for the eyes, and I'm really enjoying it.
