The process showing different sizes, side by side, here hay bale and lavander field, is for instance close to those of Pierro della Francesca in "Death of Adam" (buttlocks and the two figures in the distance side by side) or in "The flagellation" (the three figures in the foreground and Jesus in the distance side by side) www.artilim.com/artists.aspx This is an other example of the virtual undulation of the geometric painting's plane.

The colors in this painting are superb!
