Ah Julian love every little thing about this piece - the red, the shadow with the touch of light and touch of red, the brushstrokes, the yellow, the seeds, all combining for rich eye candy!

2041 Yesterday I decided to view my old parents' attic. In an outdated steamer trunk I noticed a tiny and fragile painting with these words written overleaf:" For you my little Darling this strawberry in the shape of heart, beribboned with hope and passion". Everyone knows in our family, when she was very young she fell in love with a young soldier just before the Third World War in 2012. We knew too that he never came back...
