I love French pumpkins. They have so much more character than the store bought American variety. Beautiful painting as always.

I am always finding the tiniest details in your paintings that seem to play such a big part in the over all. Here, there is the bright orange dash (a swoosh, maybe) right at the top center of the pumpkin, just above the wonderful center line shadow. Yes, is seems to be so important. Is this in fact one finishing touch? Seems to me to be so. And there are others, too. This, a wonderful, simple painting.
