A beautiful daytime is still over. Dying glow.
I feel cicadas are singing while a firework seems to crackle through the trees. The unfathomable soothing darkness is so gripping...What a superb evocation of a summery cold evening air.

This is such a beautiful, beautiful painting! The sifting golden lights through the top of the trees...the soft pinks and violets in the sky..the warmth of the shadows as night is aproaching...it just glows...

I agree with all of the above. There is, nevertheless, something a bit sad at the lovely ending of every day.

("Midsummer night's dream") Yes of course jol "...a bit sad..." but hadn't you perceived in the distance the cheerful sounds of the fete just beginning at Bedoin ?
