Wow! I don't know why the simplicity of this solitary object is so striking to me, but I love it. Reminds me of when you did a spoon and an egg, the first painting I ever saw of yours, and what caused me to become a loyal fan ever since!
I too love the simplicity.... Very beautiful.... Thank you
Once again, your brushstrokes are heavenly and you managed to really capture "metal". Simply wonderful.
Solidity and history captured beautifully in a simple object. You are very, very talented.
How simple---and lovely. I often marvel at the sources of your inspiration---everyday objects. j
Julian, you never cease to amaze. I opened your mail today expecting another beautiful landscape and up pops this stunner. Simply beautiful.

You are the best!
If set to music I am hearing "Pictures from an Exhibition"...perfect in its simplicity along with wonderfully complex shading... or maybe it's something by Philip Glass.. or Debussy? Ruth, help me out... D

R dear...oh my, I can only imagine your felines having "cat"-aleptics, but if J is truly able to hum the Haydn I'D stand and applaud!
