Hi Julian, Just want you to know how much I love your paintings. I am a beginning "artist" and take great inspiration from your work. Enjoy the island!
je viens de vous "decouvrir " avec l'immense plaisir de trouver enfin un peintre qui fait ce que j'aimerais un jour pouvoir faire ! Merci de partager avec nous votre talent et les couleurs de ma Provence.
Very few could make a single banana into an artistic statement... but you did. Have a great time on your small island.
i hope you had more to take than that banana! thank you for the good lesson on how to make a single banana interesting. have fun. gfs
The token banana, beautifully rendered, as you run off to paradise. Have a wonderful time!
Julian, I am so hungry for fruit and more paintings from you! You take what is in nature and put it onto your canvas; I take my inspiration from your work. C
More than a banana, this "unadorned" painting exsudes a look of distress.Everything is keeling over,in a supernatural light.Last brightness of a lonely being:it's high time for "her" to open up her heart to the others...
Actually, Alain, bananas are in distress in the east where a fungus that is spreading quickly and destroying the plants is endangering the banana. I suspect this one was employed as a quick snack though the uses of the banana are many. So Julian, if the banana becomes rare and costly, your painting that focuses on this image of the banana is timely and lovely.
i like the style of the bannana and the colouring and the lighting that has been used to create this effect
Very a-peel-ing. How about painting the peel? Lovely work as always. Your brush work seems effortless.
