Yup, looks that way, Julian! Gave me a giggle to go with my habitual awe of your work.
I like it very much! Wine is good!
I just have to comment. I have a smile on my face. This is great. I just love it. Sooo expressive.
You don't just paint portraits ..... you seem to "sculpt" them. Good job , Julien!
It is very expressionistic and inviting. Where's the long wavy hair? I love the seemingly simplicity of your work; although I know there's much more than what meets the eye.
Goody! I see some hair growing back. Just in time for winter!.
I love this! The epitome of a "selfie"
I was just thinking of you doing portraits, and now I see a new one! I assume you have painted Ruth and Louis at times, but you probably wouldn't auction those off, so we never get to see those, although I'd like to see one. The reason I was thinking of your portraits was because I was drawing portraits yesterday .
Hi Julian , nice work and I see the hair is growing back!!
Dear Julian, this is interesting,in many of your other self portraits your left eye glares back almost in defiance sometimes. Here there is a somewhat reflective and mildly resigned expression. Or was it that you really needed a nap? Love the palette. Anna.
I always like your self-portraits best. Thank you. Fanny
Hi J & R, Happy to see you did not keep the shaved look. Best, Kathy/Kate
Hi Julian, i did some house sitting in Le Luberon for 6 months,( Puyvert )& as i leaf through your gorgeous book, i am immediately transported back to my Dog walking in the wonderful morning and afternoon light ! Quels jours serein !! Love the new self portrait and like most people it seems, continue to be inspired by your fabulous work !! Thank you. See you down there one of these days i hope,( saving my pennies) Merci et bon continuation (:-)) Tony D
Yup, I laughed and also enjoyed the continuing faces you paint. They all say you with all the humor and dedication of an artist.
