Beautiful. Love its daring and looseness that all comes together so nicely.
Delicious color!
It is nice to see your work again. This painting looks different and more colorful than your usual palette, and less strong contrast between light and shadow. I'm guessing this was a mid-day painting.
I am not sure how to describe it, but this painting is tender dulcet and light like...the adorable kiss of a baby on the cheek of her daddy.
What a wonderful treat to open and find this waiting for me to adore. I too love the looseness and the softness of colors. Thank you, Julian. Grace
Love it! You make it all look so easy peasy
This is a little gem!
I love this one Julian!! So free and cheerful--gorgeous color!
beautiful light!
They've said it all.. So many colours, tones, light and way you've sloshed the paint around with lovely brushstrokes...
Beautiful !
Julian, there is a freedom in your brushstrokes which I think came about with the hair it! I know it happens with women painters. Could that be true?!!
Looking at your postcard is a treat every day. Thanks for sharing your masterful views of the surrounding landscape and "natures mortes", as well as your occasional portrait with all of us. This one is indeed particularly lovely. We tried to make contact when we visited Marseille and the area. We missed, but we'll try again someday.
