Welcome home! Love those shadows
I've had quite a stressful week with a very ill husband and as soon as I saw this, I literally felt my frown unfurrow! No kidding! It is so serene, and just absolutely lovely! Thank you for the "mental break" Julian. Excellent work.
So beautiful. Looks like the lovely beach I live near, Siesta Beach, Sarasota, Florida. It was voted number 1 beach in USA last year. Come see it (and me). Thanks as always. G.
Stunning! Gorgeous! I love it!
C'est super beau!!!!!
Beautiful colors!
This is very beautiful; lovely painting.
The "fight" between animated sky and calm beach is really impressive! The variations of blue, purple and grey, so divine. The play between empty spaces and full spaces is subtle and adding drama to the scene. The colored ambience, unique. This is a musical painting: I imagine there Erik Satie on piano playing his Gymnopedie No 1 in a continuous loop, alone on the beach...
Dear Julian, thanks for posting during the holiday. Hope the break has given you renewed vigour to paint, amongst other things, the spring in Provence. Have a restful weekend in your beautiful abode. Anna
It's all been said for me..... nothing more to add... What size brush please, do you use to get those lovely sweeping marks?
So glad to see you home safely. Hope there was fun. All the cards were lovely. This is so soothing with the touch of excitement necessary to eke you interested. Well done and welcome home.
