Oh Julian, what a lively painting! I can easily picture myself strolling along the rollicking blue river, then passing under the green bridge of leaves between the orange hills to finally reach the pervasive dark side further on ... But how tiring it is for a homebird like me to wend through that hummocky thick snow!
what marvellous fruits and mysterious shadows.
That beautifully curled leaf steals the show!
A beautifully balanced still life Julian.
What a beautiful painting Julian! Bravo! I love the colors and composition. The way the cloth goes a purple dark behind the clementines and retains some definition is exquisite. The diagonal accent of the leaves with the color mutations brings you right back to the beginning after leading you to your other interest points. A varied and very successful balancing act.
Yay! It's clementine painting season again!! :)
The master of light and shadow that' should!
Got boggled. I meant master of light and shadow, that's you.
Hi Julian a beautiful painting to be sure. I like the leaf , but my favourite part is the reflected light/shadow back onto the clementines. Superb work as always , thank you for sharing your gift!! Craig
