Wonderful!
You are still 'getting better,' you know. :-) I do love the mystery of your silver; always makes me wonder whose reflection is in the shadows.
Oh, how beautiful!
Amazing how your painting can suggest such rich opulence with a single pear and one simple silver goblet.
Totally amazing - colours reflections edges surfaces - a full story in this little jewel
This and your workshops look so inviting!
I really like this one; very Caravaggio!
Dear Julian, a stunning combination of glossy lacquer red and silver! And again mirrored in the goblet, a space that tells a story, a man's suit hanging on a wardrobe in a room with an unmade bed, roofs and facades, a church spire and gathering clouds, a film noir...... yes, all right, I've had a bout of flue but it is there isn't it? The tiny white dot on the right side of the goblet is so essential to make up the form as it disappears into the shadows. Anna.
Dear Julian, I'm already signed up for your May workshop and SO looking forward to it...the long winter months will drag by here in Ontario, but I shall set up little still lifes and dream of Provence while I work away at little 5x7"s, so inspired by your daily beauties! Pamela
