I was wondering if you use a limited pallet for your paintings.....you are the best painter of any I have seen on the internet.....such a joy to receive every week.....could you share some of the colors you use???? Would you ever have a workshop???? I really would be interested..........One of these days I will not be out bid...............Thanks, Ilene
That's very kind Ilene but there's a lot of wonderful painters out there—far from me giving workshops there are some I'd like to take! I use a fairly limited palette, for this I used: Tit. white, cadmium yellow, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, corail orange, permanent alizaron crimson, Ultramarine blue, phthalo blue and a bright green lake
Such gorgeous light. This is definitely wine country!
I can feel the heat! My wife and I were in Gordes 2 weeks ago and was tempted to try to find you Julian. You live in a beautiful part of the world, thanks for posting your impressions of it for all to see.
I love the way you get such wonderful effects with so few brushstrokes. I've been forwarding your painting blog to other artists whom I know and we're all really enjoying your work.
