I love this! It has a modern and minimalist feel to it. The colors are wonderful, also. Cheers! Veronica
It feels so very Japanese... and not just because of the teapot! Could it be the very defined pattern of light and dark?
Re-birth. I think this is one of the most original painting of your works:a prototype,an Archetype. A work at the height of your powers. Your signature as imprinted in the blue stripe is,in my view, like a symbol:you are today, interlocked, both painter and painting, you are brushstrokes and outlines, you are yin and yang, you are shadows and...lights!
Oh, Alain, after your beautiful prose I have nothing else to say except, the painting is original and whimsical. I like it!
I stood up and looked at the clutter on my desk from the viewpoint in this painting. Then I realized I should do this more often and take photographs from this position. Alain once again was dead-on.
