OMG!!!!! Intense piercing light. So much
animation from such still objects.

DAVID GARLAND'S POTTERY IS MAGNIFICENT! I'VE GOOGLED HIM AND LOVE EVERYTHING HE DOES. AND WHAT YOU DO WITH IT -- WITH TWO HUMBLE (HUMBLE?) CLOVES OF GARLIC.

Love the reflections. Does it remind you of a lovely glass of Guinnes???????????????

I love this painting. You have used the way the light reflects on the black glaze of the pot to separate it from the dark background. I suspect that this is technically difficult to do. The colours of the garlic pull our eye to the rim of the pot and then to the design on its side. You were certainly inspired when you painted this still life. Bravo Julian
