Julian, this is so rich and gorgeous. Beautifully done.
I love when I open your emails and gasp... this was one of those days. These plums are unbelievable... worth taking the time to meditate on their nuanced detail. Bravo!
Brilliant! Thanks for the daily inspiration, Julian.
You really captured the dusty look of a plum. Wish I knew what blue you used. Usually I trust that within a painting, the exact color isn't that important because color is relative and will read true if values etc. are right; but with this, well, I just love that blue!
Beautiful, Julian...
The best plum painting I have seen
This is wonderfully atmospheric yet there is a play of line in the blue diagonals on the plums and the light and dark curves below them. I love it.
Your color observation skills are suberb!
Each of the plums recalls different times of a moonlight seascape.Weird feeling,I hear in my head the melody of Chopin, Nocturn 20, played by Claudio Arrau...Moving plums.
splendid painting!
Julian, your work is always inspirational. It makes us look at the truly simple things in life and appreciate them for the beauty they offer us. Lovely!
