beautiful!
You trekked up the hill!?
Julian: Brilliant! The light is perfect! Very glad you are back! Must tell you that the compliments on your original "Still Live with Delft Vase with Peach and Japanese Teapot" (August), are non-stop. We framed with a gorgeous classic solid wood frame and displayed on mini-easel on our entry table. Just beautiful.
I'm really interested in your work but I'm not clear about the gessoed card you use. Do you mean illustration board that is 1/16" thick. How do your paintings keep from warping? Thank You, Larry
It looks to me fromthis painting as if the light is changing intensity/quality as it is here in Toronto. While I love your still lives, I do enjoy seeing the landscape in your neighbourhood. I'm glad you are back, Julian
This is, as always, beautiful Julian. While we had much snow in Newcastle (England) too but it did not have the same beauty. The light is never the same here. I particularly love the run of shadow on the ground in this painting. It makes me want to slide down the slope or roll in the snow Thank you
Julien- I love your plein air paintings-the composition, the mood-everything. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your wonderful landscape. Regard, Hannah
superbe!
unusual for central London we woke to about an inch of snow today and it's still coming down; Love this small perfect masterwork.
Beautiful painting, and a different palette for you. We are looking forward to your book. Happy New Year!
