Like a lighted reflection of a Turner's painting in the nearest fig. Ghostly shadows. Opulence, softness, moments of fullness; High physical presence far from the dissolving, except the last one; High dizzy feeling of depth. The radiating plate is brimful and seems to get out of the left side. Teeming still life, no place, no space for drawing breath: steamy, heightened sensibility... A tribute to sensory pleasures. And to the radiant Life.
I love the soft light in this piece, Julian.
Just luscious, with a soft, almost moist sheen . . . ready for eating or making dried figs like my grandmother did.
Julian, Pleease couldn't you get a neighbor to sit for you once in a while? It would be so refreshing other than you.The figs are beautiful!!!
This is killer, Julian....!
