A Condottiere (O Venice!)too
Full of strength and single-mindedness.
The reading-glasses put down
Like these of the old Chardin...
Some thin wrinkles tearing
down his face
Show the hard work.
How painting is exhausting !
This man has his head
Lost in the sky
And the first star is lighting up
In his eye !
