simply beautiful. just returned from saignon, near apt, this wonderful painted scene makes me wish i were still there...breath taking julian
A little hideaway ~ sun and shade and French cuisine..what else matters.
gorgeous.
I just visited St. Remy. What a wonderful place! As always you have done caught the light just right.
Wow! I can't believe the size of that tree! I'd love to know what type it is. Beautiful restful painting.
Julian That morning when I discovered your wonderful painting, a music immediately came to mind, those of " Little house on the prairie" ( I am listening to it as I am writing, on You Tube). Heaven on earth, Tender feelings, vanished youth...
A Plane Tree, these were widely planted during the Napoleonic period, notably alongside roads to shade the marching troops: some of them are enormous.
(heavy sigh) Julian - I DO wish you would go back to painting still lifes - I don't like them as much. Hence I'm not tempted to buy each one that drops into my e-mail. However - I couldn't resist this one - it really grabbed me and I HAD to have it. Again - for the sake of my bank account - please please please stop painting beautiful landscapes and go back to stills. :-)
