There is a gossamer quality to these peonies that are created out of light, a delicate pink colour and fine brushstrokes. Unless French peonies are less substantial than those in Toronto, these surely create the essence of peonies rather than the actuality. I did not think that you could surpass yesterday's roses Julian, but you have. Bravo!!!!!!
Beautiful and sensitive work!
So gentle a painting, and so lovely to look upon!
In my view Julian, with this radiant still life, you are the father of a new art movement I should name " figurative metamorphosis". These painting seems to be an everlasting illuminated emblem till the end of time...
These peonies are pure poetry ! They are gentile and sublime. Thank you for your contributions of beauty !
Oh, yes! Gorgeous! I hope they are scented... to me, there's nothing more delicate and ethereal than fragrant peonies.
Oh, wow! Gorgeous!
These are so beautiful. Thank you for your beautiful postcards. I look forward to your emails every day. Thanks. merriel
Beautiful! I've just recently discovered your blog (NYT), and I'm just loving it!!! Adds a spot of beauty to my day.
Delightful, both the two little dashes of light-blue and orange colours in the bottom of the glass !
