really nice. though, i must say, i'd love to see something like this in a lighter background to play out your color nuances.
Close up to the glory of well-endowed opulence. The right to be different. Metaphorical and noble message. And a tribute paid to Lucian Freud ?
The use of chiaroscuro, both in the strong contast with the background and the more subtle modelling of the form, achieves a great sense of volume and three dimensionality. Love the way they grow out of the darkness. Some tonal/colour/form similarities to the Rokeby Venus, or am I drawing too long a bow?
no peeling or flaking skin. just three monumental, anthropomorphic garlic heads. love that rivulet of red streaming down one of them. a strong tribute.
