wow!! you are sooo lucky to have spring already.....ours is still a bit away here in new hampshire we all look forward to your site everyday and miss you when you,re away!!!
I just love spring and I love the contrast with the dark back and light flowers. I'm dying for spring to start here!
Oh, Julian, it's superb... Thank you.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UTTERLY GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I ADORE COBALT BLUE, AND THE CONTRASTS -- AND REFLECTIONS -- MAKE ME DROOL WITH APPRECIATION!!!BRAVO, MAESTRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
these featherlight blossoms seem so brave against the dark, and balanced by the reflection in which we see a window , and- julian? an amazing image, beautiful and gentle.
What I like here it is the impasto technique regarding the flowers ( like Van Gogh did in his still lifes ) and the reflections, in contrast to the rest of the painting, plunged in darkness, and almost treated with thin layers and no traces of brushtrokes. Because of this, the flowers are appearing like an emotional outburst or a fireworks watched in wonder by children . Memorable, Julian.
