I've seen some paintings of his a long time ago and remember highly fauvist works, I'll have to check out the later stuff; he died the year I was born.


I just found this review in Time Magazine which makes it seem he's still alive until you check the date, worth a read.

I checked out the Time Magazine article and the date is exactly one day before I was born!!! (Now I know I was born on a Tuesday!)
