I love how the peel of the clementine looks as if it will soon embrace those sweet chestnuts. Beautiful painting, Julian.
i have been silently observing this site; the give and the take. what intrigues me is the overwhelming response (and auction price) of the 'Morning Near...' yesterday's addition.
The "give' by the artist was the intense love he bears his locale and the 'take' was the universal recognition of this. It is as admirable reading these comments and symbolic progressions such as today's as it is the art itself; they are charming, touching, and encouraging and speak to whatever it was that drove the first of our species to cherish their environment by marking the deepest caves and highest cliffs.
The very same compulsion of the above artist to remark about his own beloved precinct. It is a very rewarding give and take in every way, my congrats all around. AKC
