Simply perfect--composition of apricot, leaves, and stem. Evokes Provençal memories. Thank you.

Julian - this is delicious - the diagonal in contrast to the vertical stem - who's orchard do you sneak into in the middle of the night?? FYI mine says this is sold already but I'm sure it's not...

Thanks Barbara and Jo, actually (Jennifer), I picked them yesterday from the orchard just out front and in the middle of the day - I guess no one is going to complain about the odd apricot taken for a still life! So the leaves in their limpness are a day old and somehow better for it. Julian

The most gorgeous piece of fruit. I feel I could just pick it up off the table and slice off a piece. I believe this is my favorite still life you have done. So classic in depth of color palette and composition.

Hi Julian Looking at the apricot, I sensed that it probably tastes like one; so many I buy have no taste at all. It is really lovely. Barbara M

Julian: I was wondering what the image would be for 7/7/07 - my birthday. The apricot is beautiful and brings back nice memories of seeing such fruit at the market when I lived in Aix-en-Provence for several years. Question: Does one still bid on a painting? If so, what is the process? I've scoured your website and can't seem to find the information for trying to purchase one of your original daily paintings. Thanks.
